Auto Detail Factory’s Terms and Conditions of Service:

 

This Agreement for services is entered into between (client) and Auto Detail Factory.

The above-mentioned parties hereby agree to the following terms:

 

NOTE: READ ENTIRE DOCUMENT BEFORE BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT!!

Saturday Appointment Policy:

Saturday Appointments are reserved for services total added value of at least $120 and we are only available at 8am, 8:30am or 9am as we are opened only half day this day. Any other times might not be approved or may incur  in additional costs.

Preparation Prior to the Appointment Policy:

Prior to our arrival we request that all personal property be removed from your vehicle. Please remove all your personal property from the interior, including cargo area, trunk, under seats, center console, glove box and any other compartment where you would like us to clean. The compartments containing personal belongings will not be cleaned or emptied by our detail team. We do not clean or open the spare tire compartment of vehicles unless we have been notified by you and you have removed the spare tire, tools and any other item from this compartment.

Personal Property Policy:

We request before the scheduled service appointment, that all personal property be removed from your vehicle. Auto Detail Factory is not liable for the loss or damage of articles/belongings left in vehicle due to, case of fire, theft, accident, service provided or any other cause beyond Auto Detail Factory’s control.

Work Order & Vehicle Condition Report Policy:

Upon arrival and after finishing the service we would just need a few minutes of your time so that we could go over on what is covered in the service and get your signature on the work order as well as to give you the condition report of how we found your vehicle previous to our service.

Service Price Change policy:

The majority of the vehicles we service pay the advertise price but all vehicles are subject to inspection prior to starting the service; we do this to identify areas that may need extra work that is not covered by the advertised price. We have an optional fee for dog hair removal,  heavily soiled carpet, heavy soiled exterior, muddy exterior, heavy desert sand on the interior and/or exterior, very dirty interior and dark colored vehicles that are getting paint correction that varies by size and condition of vehicle. We highly recommend the dog hair removal for interior details and we would let you know if this is recommended to provide you with a better service but the choice is up to you.

Service Time Policy:

Our service times are only an estimate, each vehicle is different and may require more or less time to fulfill the service.

Contractor Policy:

We reserve the right to use any independent contractor to undertake the service we are providing, we may need to change the detailer at short notice or no notice without penalty.

Securing Booking Policy:

We reserve the right to take a debit or credit card details through our booking system and charge $1.00 to secure payment or we would might send out an electronic invoice through squareup.com to secure the booking.

Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy:

We can never exactly predict what the weather will be like; please remember every scheduled service appointment is weather permitting. If the weather is inclement during your scheduled appointment we will automatically reschedule your service for the next available appointment slot at no extra cost.

Onsite Service Policy:

We are able to bring our services to you as this is our goal but we request that you have a site such as your home or office and that you have permission to do our services at this site; we cannot work on vehicles parked on the streets as this is illegal in some cities and the safety of our team could be compromised.

Online Same Day Booking Policy:

We would gladly accept same day appointments through our online booking system if the appointment is done at least 1 hour before available appointment slot and before 12pm. If no confirmation email or phone call is received please give us a call to make sure we have approved your same day appointment booking.

Online Booking / Reservation Policy:

Making a reservation for a service on Auto Detail Factory’s Online Booking System does not guarantee that an specified time or date will be reserved or booked unless payment has been made or received. Auto Detail Factory reserve the right to approve a booked date or time; There might be a slice chance that an appointment has been booked off line and our booking system does not reflect it therefore, we will send you a confirmation email or call you to approve your reservation. We reserve the right to alter or move a booking in line with staffing levels and/or weather conditions and /or machinery or equipment failure.

Off Line Booking / Reservation Policy:

24-Hour Appointment Cancellation / Rescheduling Policy:

Auto Detail Factory has a 24 hour cancellation policy / rescheduling policy. If for any reason you are unable to hold your appointment, Auto Detail Factory requires a 24-hour cancellation / rescheduling notice. Failure to provide 24 hours advance notice of cancellation will result in a minimum charge of $40 or 25% of the service cost whichever is higher, this also applies to same day appointments that are cancelled. A 24-hour cancellation / rescheduling notice is required because we not only lose your business but the business of potential customers who could have booked an appointment during your appointment slot.

Wait Time Policy:

Auto Detail Factory cannot wait more than 15 minutes after we have arrived for the service, if your vehicle not present, not unlocked, and/or in the driveway or a designated location. Failure to be present at the time and location of the ordered service if we haven’t mutually agreed on any arrangements before our arrival will result in service cancelation and in a minimum charge of $40 or 25% of the service cost whichever is higher.

48-Hour Refund Policy:

If you have booked online and prepaid the service and for any reason you are unable to hold your appointment, we would gladly give you a refund based on our financial & credit card processor service providers policies within 48 hours of the original time of purchase or booking. After 48 hours from the original time of purchase we won’t be able to give you a refund and we will only give you service credit. There is no expiration for this credit, and you can use it for any of our services. If we agree to give you a refund after the expiration time (48hrs), it will result in a minimum charge of $40 or 25% of the service cost, whichever is higher. Please be aware that the amount you paid includes transaction fees (shown below) that will be deducted from the original payment and are NOT REFUNDABLE under any circumstances. Not agreeing to reschedule an appointment after there was inclement weather on your scheduled day after the 48hr period will mean that you are cancelling the appointment and not us, as we have offered an alternative option. For this reason, you will have to assume all fees mentioned above and below in the case we agree to give you a refund.

Square Refund Policy:

A fee of 2.9% + 30 Cents will be deducted from the total you paid if you paid with Stripe. THIS IS A FEE CHARGED BY SQUARE.
These fees are assumed by us if we get your business, otherwise if you request a refund or we agree to refund you after the 48hr Policy, these fees will be deducted from your total and they will be assumed by you.

Paypal Refund Policy:

A fee of 3.49% + 49 Cents will be deducted from the total you paid if you paid with Paypal. THIS IS A FEE CHARGED BY PAYPAL.
These fees are assumed by us if we get your business, otherwise if you request a refund or we agree to refund you after the 48hr Policy, these fees will be deducted from your total and they will be assumed by you.

Stripe Refund Policy:

A fee of 2.9% + 30 Cents will be deducted from the total you paid if you paid with Stripe. THIS IS A FEE CHARGED BY STRIPE. There is an additional 1% fee for international and currency conversion transactions.
These fees are assumed by us if we get your business, otherwise if you request a refund or we agree to refund you after the 48hr Policy, these fees will be deducted from your total and they will be assumed by you.

Travel Fees Policy:

Auto Detail Factory provides detailing & wash services for all customers at our standard rate; however additional travel fees with a minimum of $20 may apply if customer is outside of our service area (San Mateo to Mountain View CA).

Changes to these Policies:

Auto Detail Factory has the discretion to update this privacy policies at any time. When we do, we will post a notification on the main page of our Site, revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about this policies. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this policies periodically and become aware of modifications.

Your acceptance of these terms:

By booking online and offline, purchasing, or requesting our service in person or by phone you signify your acceptance of these policies. If you do not agree to these policies, please do not book online or offline, purchase or make an appointment in person or by phone. Your continued use of our site following the posting of changes to these policies will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.

Release of Liability

This Agreement for services is entered into between (client) and Auto Detail Factory.

From here on client will be referred as “I”

The above-mentioned parties hereby agree to the following terms:

Damages to Vehicle:

I hereby agree that Auto Detail Factory shall not be held liable for any mechanical condition or pre-existing conditions such as dents, scratches & any other pre-existing damages to the vehicle’s interior &/or exterior nor for the loss or damage of articles/belongings left in vehicle due to, a case of fire, theft, accident, service provided or any other cause beyond Auto Detail Factory’s control. It is your responsibility to point out items that are fragile or no longer functional in many cases the damage is not noticeable due to the state of the vehicle prior to detailing. I agree that I am responsible to go over my vehicle with an Auto Detail Factory’s affilate, member, staff, or representative before they leave the premises. I release Auto Detail Factory from any liability pertaining to my vehicle or belongings after they have turned in the keys and/or left the premises or if I cannot be present after complition. I agree that Auto Detail Factory will not accept any liability for any loss or damage to any personal property including the vehicle being serviced, or any belongings contained inside of the vehicle or to the location of service. I understand that my vehicle will be cleaned at my own risk and it must be able to withstand normal cleaning processes and that any damage claims as a result of cleaning will be limited to the cost of the service and I will have to present at least 2 diagnostics and/or price estimates to prove the damage was caused by Auto Detail Factory.

Engine Cleaning:

I hereby agree that Auto Detail Factory shall not be held liable for any problem that may arise if I request Auto Detail Factory to clean or wipe down the engine &/or engine compartment.

Customer not Present When Service is Completed:

I release Auto Detail Factory from any liability pertaining to my vehicle if I cannot be present when the service is completed.

Leaving Keys when not Present:

I hereby agree and authorize Auto Detail Factory to leave the keys with a specified person, area of my vehicle, or location if I cannot be present upon completion of services. Auto Detail Factory shall not be held responsible for the vehicle if it gets stolen or for keys being locked in my vehicle as result of leaving them inside.

Wait Time after Completion:

I hereby agree that Auto Detail Factory cannot wait more than 15 minutes after I have been notified of completion of services. I also release Auto Detail Factory from any liability pertaining to my vehicle or belongings after they have turned in the keys or left the premises.

Vehicle Operation:

I hereby authorize Auto Detail Factory to operate submitted vehicle for the purposes of delivery, service, accommodation for space, inspection or any other reasons deemed necessary at my risk.

Cleaning / Detailing Interior:

I hereby authorize Auto Detail Factory if my vehicle’s interior is being detailed or cleaned to use a chemical cleaning solution to clean the steering wheel, dash, console and door panels., and to shampoo my seats and/or carpet using the Extraction Method/Wet Method in the submitted vehicle for the purposes of cleaning/detailing the interior at my risk. I also release Auto Detail Factory from any liability pertaining to my vehicle for anything that may arise as result of this or any interior service.

Washing / Detailing Exterior:

I hereby authorize Auto Detail Factory if my vehicle’s exterior is being detailed or wash to use a chemical cleaning solution to wash the exterior, tires and wheels., and to apply compound, polish or wax or a combination of these by hand or machine applied in the submitted vehicle for the purposes of cleaning/detailing the exterior at my risk. I also release Auto Detail Factory from any liability pertaining to my vehicle for anything that may arise as result of this or any exterior service.

Vehicle’s Windshield & Windows:

I hereby authorize Auto Detail Factory to wash my vehicle’s exterior. I understand that during summer or winter seasons the changes in temperature might cause my windshield or windows  to crack due to temperature changes when water is sprayed or applied. I release Auto Detail Factory from any liability pertaining to my vehicle’s windows and windshield for anything that may arise as result of this or any exterior service.

Vehicle Battery:

I hereby agree that Auto Detail Factory will have my doors opened to clean vehicle’s interior & could cause my battery to drain; I release them from any liability the battery drain may cause.

Ownership:

I hereby agree and certify that I am the registered owner of the vehicle submitted to Auto Detail Factory,and/or have authority by the registered owner(s) to submit vehicle to Auto Detail Factory.

Express Lien:

I hereby agree that an express lien is acknowledged on vehicle to secure the amount of the service thereto.

Law:

I hereby agree and certify that any claim or equitable claim that may arise from participation in the above shall be resolved under California law. In the event of legal action is necessary, I agree to pay the attorney’s fees and court costs.

I HAVE FULLY READ THIS DOCUMENT “Auto Detail Factory’s Terms and Conditions of Service” AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS A REALEASE OF LIABILITY. I FURTHER UNDERSTAND THAT BY BOOKING ONLINE/OFFLINE, MAKING AN APPOINTMENT BY PHONE OR IN PERSON, I VOLUNTARILY SURRENDER AND DISCHARGE “AUTO DETAIL FACTORY” AND ALL OF ITS AFFILATES, MEMBERS, STAFF, AND REPRESENTATIVES FROM ALL CLAIMS OR CAUSES OF ACTION AND AGREE TO VOLUNTARILY GIVE UP OR WAVE ANY RIGHT THAT I OTHERWISE HAVE TO BRING A LEGAL ACTION AGAINST “AUTO DETAIL FACTORY” FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
